A workshop is a single, short educational program designed to teach or introduce to participants practical skills, techniques, or ideas which they can then use in their work or their daily lives.
• Consists of a series of 4 – 5 meetings
• With emphasis on individual work
• With the help of consultants and resource personnel
The workshop is divided into small groups and group chooses a chairman and a recorder
• The individuals then work, solve a part of the problem through their personal effort with the help of consultants
• Contribute to the group work and group discussion and leave the workshop with a plan of action on the problem
• Learning takes place in a friendly, happy and democratic atmosphere, under expert guidance.
• The workshop provides each participant opportunities to improve his effectiveness as a professional worker. Hence it is more participatory than seminars and conferences
